Owner's signature inked out on ffep. 1/4" holes to ffep and rfep. 1"closed tear at fore-edge, small engraved heraldic bookplate (John Hog 1725) on verso of title page. Ink notes on rpd. Leather amateurishly lacquered. Includes The Emperor Joseph, The Dauphin, The Prince of Friesland, Duke of Rutland, Duke of Newcastle, &c. Genealogies and anecdotal political history of Tudor England. "To be continued yearly." Not uncritical - the Dauphin is described as a bookworm on the battlefield, after war "growing Fat and Unweildy, and consequently a lover of his Ease," and an intrigue with an Comedy of the Opera actress and her sister is related with glee.
