Edinburgh: E. & G. Goldsmid, 1885. 4to. This is the Large Paper edition, limited to 100 copies, published 1885-1890. It is 16 parts in 17 volumes, bound in blue buckram with leather spine labels and pastedown titles on the front covers; the last volume is Vol. XVI, Part II, followed by a separate facsimile of handwritten index volume, 76 pp., bound in vellum with a leather label on the front cover; title page: "Seaforth: (Mrs.) E. Bacon, 1892." The owner's effort? Ink fountain pen neatly traced over pencil, on laid paper; very handsome handwriting. There is water damage, of varying severity, throughout the set and index; the most noticeable problem being the warped boards. Spines are sunned, sl. discolored from water damage, although leather/gilt labels are bright. The cloth is visibly stained around the bottom edge. Deckle edges; Whatman handmade paper.
