Covers detached but held on with cellophane tape, heavily soiled and chipped. Dampstaining to wraps and several pages at front and rear. Soiling, staining, and offsetting throughout. Black ink splattered to fore edge of several pages at center, text remains readable. Last two leaves starting to detach but holding. Complete notes and ordinances detailing the Georgia Convention, held January-March 1861, during which the state voted to secede and join the confederacy, one of many contributing events which led to the start of the Civil War following the election of President Lincoln.
